LMS is based on open-source software known as Moodle (an acronym for Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment).Your lecturer may create an LMS unit for the unit you are studying and include a suite of resources and activities.

      LMS Student Help Site is designed to help by taking you through some of the features that may be available in your online LMS units. This is done through printable screen captures with step by step instructions demonstrating how to navigate LMS and use activities such as forums, quizzes and assignments.

    Here you will find the information you need to get started using LMS and where to go online and/or in person to get the right help for any LMS issues you may be experiencing.

  • LMS Student Practice Unit

    The LMS Student Practice Unit is available to all students for the practice of submitting assignments, opening resources and attempting a quiz in a safe online practice environment.  You do not have to complete anything in this unit.  The contents of this unit will be reset on a regular basis.

    Now that you've gotten started, let's make the experience more about you.  Learn how to use the extra tools in LMS that will add to your everyday experience.

  • Using LMS to communicate, collaborate and be assessed.... 

    The information resources below are designed to help you gain the skills to participate in the learning activies using the tools in LMS.  You may be required to use communication tools such as forums or chat, assessment tools such as quizzes or assignments and collaborative tools such as the glossary, database or wiki.  

     LMS unit sites vary according to the different needs and requirements of the unit.  The set up of each unit is at the lecturer's discretion and your lecturer may not require the use of every feature or tool of LMS in their unit.
